Hunterworks 2013-2019 Polaris Ranger XP 900 Belt

The Ranger XP 900 earned a reputation as one of the more dependable work machines Polaris has built, and most of the ones still in service now have enough hours on them that the CVT is the weak point rather than the engine. This is the Hunterworks USA-made replacement belt — stronger cord, a higher-temperature compound and tighter tolerances than the original.

Installation notes

• On a machine with this many hours, the belt is often the symptom rather than the cause. Check the clutch bushings and the sheave faces for glazing before you blame the belt — worn clutches will eat a brand new one in a season.
• Verify clutch alignment with the Hunterworks alignment tool for the 2014-2019 Ranger 900. Note that the 2013 uses a different transmission shaft and that tool will not fit it.
• Clean years of packed belt dust out of the clutch housing while the cover is off.
• Check the CVT ducting for cracks and leaks — on an older machine it is usually deteriorated.
• Use low range for pulling and crawling.
