A typical belt job needs three things. A primary clutch puller matched to your crankshaft taper to get the primary off, a clutch holder tool so you can break the bolt loose without damaging anything, and an alignment tool to confirm the clutches line up before the new belt goes on. On many Can-Am, CFMoto and Kawasaki machines a belt change tool lets you spread the secondary and swap the belt without pulling the primary at all, which turns a shop job into a ten-minute trailside fix.
