Can Am X3 CVT Blower

The Maverick X3 is the machine that made belt temperature a mainstream conversation. Can-Am's CVT moves a lot of air at speed, but dune starts, rock crawling and long slow climbs are where X3 belts let go — low ground speed, high slip, and a clutch fan that is only working as hard as the engine is spinning.

The Hunterworks X3 CVT blower is an electric fan plumbed into the clutch ductwork. It runs on its own, so the housing gets airflow at 4 mph the same as at 60.

Install notes

Active venting expels hot air from the clutch housing even at low ground speeds, unlike the RPM-dependent clutch-mounted fan. Belt dust and fine debris get vacuumed out of the clutch cover area, so the clutches stay cleaner. Installation does not inhibit or interfere with belt changes.
