Hunterworks 2018-2025 Polaris Ranger XP 1000 Belt

The Ranger XP 1000 is a work machine, and work is exactly the duty cycle a CVT belt likes least — low ground speed, heavy loads, a lot of starting and stopping, and very little airflow through the clutch while it is all happening. This is the Hunterworks USA-made belt built specifically for that.

It is worth knowing what makes this belt different. Nearly every other Ranger belt on the market, OEM or aftermarket, is a 2016-era RZR belt pressed into service on a Ranger. Hunterworks designed this one for the Ranger XP 1000 rather than adapting something else to it.

Hunterworks part number HW 925RM. Ranger XP 1000 belt fitment splits in ways that are easy to get wrong — if your machine is a 2018, a Crew, a NorthStar or a non-XP, call before you order.

Installation notes

• Check clutch alignment first. The Ranger XP 1000 has year-specific alignment tools, and the 2022-2025 NorthStar uses a different crankshaft taper than the rest — see alignment tools.
• Clean the belt dust out of the housing. On a work machine it packs in faster than most owners expect.
• Check that the CVT intake and exhaust ducting is sealed and clear.
• Use low range when you are pulling or crawling. Lugging a Ranger in high is the fastest way to cook a belt.
