Ceramic Coating & Detailing

A UTV gets dirtier than any road vehicle and gets washed more often, which is a bad combination for paint and plastic. Mud that dries on holds moisture against the surface, and the pressure washer you reach for to remove it is abrasive enough to dull plastics over a season. A ceramic coating changes the arithmetic: it puts a slick, water-repellent layer between the mud and the machine, so most of what you ride through rinses off instead of needing to be scrubbed off.

Fix'N Offroad carries the HydroSilex line — ceramic spray coatings, waterless wash and bug remover — chosen because it is formulated for the surfaces a side-by-side actually has: painted plastic, raw plastic, powder-coated steel, aluminum and glass, not just automotive clearcoat. We also stock the Camper & RV coating for the trailer or toy hauler that gets the machine to the trail, and Bug Remover for the front clip.

Getting a coating to actually work

  • Wash and dry completely first — a coating seals in whatever is already on the surface.
  • Work in the shade on a cool panel, one section at a time.
  • Level it with a second clean microfiber before it flashes, or you will see high spots later.
  • Let it cure before it sees rain.
  • Re-apply on a schedule rather than waiting for it to look bad. Maintenance is cheaper than correction.

Free shipping on every US order. Not sure which product suits your machine or how often to re-apply? Call (601) 771-0070 and we will talk through it. Related: UTV audio, tools.
