Hunterworks Alignment Tool for 2022-2025 Ranger XP 1000 NorthStar

The 2022-2025 Ranger XP 1000 NorthStar is the odd one out in the Ranger line: in these model years the NorthStar used a different crankshaft taper than the other XP 1000s, so it takes its own alignment tool. This Hunterworks tool, part number CAT-621K, is the one that fits it.

Install notes

With the clutch cover and both clutches off, set the tool across the crankshaft and the transmission input shaft. If the shafts are out of spec, every belt you install is being twisted once per revolution, and no belt brand will survive that for long. Check alignment after any engine or transmission removal, and before you buy a third belt.
