Hunterworks 2017 Polaris Ranger XP 1000 Belt

A USA-made Hunterworks CVT drive belt for the 2017 Polaris Ranger XP 1000, 3-seat and Crew models only. Read that year carefully — 2017 is a one-year-only belt on the Ranger XP 1000. Polaris changed the clutching for 2018, and the 2018-and-later belt will not give you correct performance on a 2017 machine. If you are shopping by model name alone this is the single easiest belt on the platform to get wrong.

Install notes

The Ranger XP 1000 is a work machine, and most belts on it die from heat rather than from mileage. Before the new belt goes in: clean the belt dust out of both sheaves, check the sheave faces for glazing or scoring, and confirm the CVT intake and exhaust ducting is seated and clear. If this machine has eaten more than one belt, check clutch alignment with the 2017 Ranger XP 1000 alignment tool — misaligned clutches twist a belt every revolution and no belt survives that. Break a new belt in with about 20 miles of easy, varied-throttle driving before you tow or run big tires.
