Hunterworks CVT Belt for Can-Am Outlander 500/700/850/1000

Can-Am changed the Outlander platform partway through recent model years, and the belt changed with it. This is the Hunterworks USA-made belt for the newer machines — part number HW CA7M — built with aramid cord and a high-temperature compound that holds up better than the factory belt on a machine that gets worked in mud and heat.

• 2023-2026 Can-Am Outlander 500 and 700 — all models
• 2025 Can-Am Outlander 850 and 1000 — all models

Install notes

• Check belt deflection once the new belt is fitted. On Can-Am ATVs this is the setting most often left wrong after a belt change, and a belt riding at the wrong height is being worn out by geometry rather than by power.
• Clean the belt dust out of both sheaves and check the faces for glazing.
• These machines get ridden through water. After a deep crossing, dry the clutch out properly before you load it up — a wet belt under load slips, and slip is heat.
• Note that the Can-Am secondary belt change tool does not fit the 2024-2025 Outlander 850/1000.
• Break the belt in over roughly 20-25 miles of easy, varied-speed driving before working it hard.
