Hunterworks Clutch Alignment Tool - 2016-2025 Polaris RZR 900

Most RZR 900 belts do not fail because the belt was bad. They fail because the primary and secondary clutches are not aligned and the belt is being twisted every single revolution. This Hunterworks alignment tool sits on the crankshaft and the transmission shaft of the CVT and tells you in about five minutes whether your center-to-center distance and offset are where Polaris intended — before you burn another belt.

Fitment

2016-2025 Polaris RZR 900, all models — including RZR 900, RZR 900 Trail and RZR S 900, two-seat and four-seat.

Hunterworks part number CAT16-.

Check your year carefully. The 2015 RZR 900 is a different fitment and takes the CAT900R. The 2011-2014 XP 900 takes the CAT1114XP9. Using the wrong tool tells you nothing useful.

How to use it

With the clutch cover off and the belt removed, the tool locates on the crankshaft and the transmission shaft. If the machine is in alignment it seats correctly; if it is not, you will see and feel it immediately. Use it every time the clutch cover comes off, and especially after an engine or transmission reinstall — that is when alignment most often goes out and nobody checks.

Misalignment does not give you a warning light. It just quietly shortens belt life until you are replacing belts far more often than the people you ride with.
