CFMoto CForce & ZForce Drive Belt Guide: Which Belt Fits (by Year, Displacement & OEM Number)
CFMoto CForce & ZForce Drive Belt Guide: Which Belt Fits (by Year, Displacement & OEM Number)
CFMoto builds a lot of machine for the money, and the stock CVT belt is where that value shows. It is also the single hardest CFMoto part to shop for, because CFMoto's model naming does not line up with its belt fitments. Two machines that share a name and a displacement can take different belts depending on the year and the trim, and two machines with completely different names can take the same belt.
This guide sorts out which Hunterworks belt fits which CForce and ZForce, with the CFMoto OEM part numbers each one replaces. If you want the UForce and U10 Pro side of the lineup, that is covered separately in our CFMoto UForce drive belt guide.
The trap to know about first
The most common CFMoto belt mistake is a CForce Touring or Overland owner buying the standard CForce belt. The 2024-2025 CForce 800 Touring, the 2024-2025 CForce 1000 Touring and the 2025 CForce 1000 Overland do not use the same belt as the standard CForce 800 and 1000. They use HW-CFG3, replacing CFMoto OEM part number OJWV-055000-3000-M1.
The second thing worth knowing: Hunterworks part numbers cross the CForce and ZForce lines. HW-851KM covers both the big CForce ATVs and the big ZForce side-by-sides. HW-CF6M covers both the small CForce and the small ZForce. So if you own one of each, you may only need to stock one spare belt, not two.
CFMoto CForce belt fitment

| CForce 500 | 2016-2024 | HW-CF6M | 0180-055000-0004 |
| CForce 600 | 2011-2025 | HW-CF6M | 0180-055000-0004 |
| CForce 800 | 2013-2024 | HW-851KM | OJWA-055000-1000 / 0800-055000-0001 |
| CForce 1000 | 2021-2024 | HW-851KM | OJWA-055000-1000 / 0800-055000-0001 |

| CForce 1000 Touring | 2024-2025 | HW-CFG3 | OJWV-055000-3000-M1 |
| CForce 1000 Overland | 2025 | HW-CFG3 | OJWV-055000-3000-M1 |
All three CForce fitments are ordered from one listing: the Hunterworks CVT belt for CFMoto CForce 400/600/800/1000. Pick your year, model and trim on the product page and the correct part ships.
CFMoto ZForce belt fitment
| Machine | Years | Hunterworks part | Replaces CFMoto OEM |
|---|---|---|---|
| ZForce 500 | 2016-2022 | HW-CF6M | 0180-055000-0004 |
| ZForce 600 | 2012-2015 | HW-CF6M | 0180-055000-0004 |
| ZForce 800 | 2022-2025 | HW-851KM | OJWA-055000-1000 |
| ZForce 950 | 2020-2024 | HW-851KM | OJWA-055000-1000 |
| ZForce 1000 | 2018-2019 | HW-851KM | OJWA-055000-1000 |
The small ZForce belt is the Hunterworks ZForce 500 / 600 belt. The big-bore belt is the Hunterworks ZForce 800 / 950 / 1000 belt.
Note the year ranges carefully on the ZForce. A ZForce 800 from 2022 and a ZForce 600 from 2014 are not close to the same belt, even though both are "a ZForce" with an 8 or a 6 in the name.
Why the Hunterworks belt instead of another OEM belt
CFMoto owners have historically had almost no aftermarket belt choices, which means most people replace a failed stock belt with another stock belt and get the same result a season later. The Hunterworks belts are made in the USA with a stronger cord and a compound chosen to tolerate more heat than the factory belt, and they are cut for the specific CFMoto clutch box rather than being a generic belt sized to length.
That difference matters most in exactly the conditions these machines get used in: a CForce working a hill in mud, or a ZForce being revved hard from a standstill over and over. Both are low ground speed with high clutch slip, which is where belt temperature climbs fastest.
How to change a CFMoto belt
On CFMoto machines with an Omni Drive secondary clutch, you do not have to pull the primary to change a belt.
- Park on level ground, engine off and cool, transmission in park, and let the CVT cool down. A belt that just failed is hot enough to burn you.
- Remove the CVT cover. Keep the bolts organized — they are not all the same length on most CFMoto machines.
- Thread the CFMoto secondary belt change tool into the secondary clutch and turn it with a 4mm allen head. The tool spreads the sheaves so the belt goes slack.
- Lift the old belt off the secondary first, then off the primary.
- Before the new belt goes in, clean the belt dust out of the housing and look at the sheave faces. Glazing, scoring or a blue heat mark means the clutch itself needs attention, not just a belt.
- Fit the new belt over the primary first, then roll it onto the spread secondary. Check the arrow on the belt for direction of rotation.
- Back the tool out, reinstall the cover, and confirm the CVT intake and exhaust ducting is clear and connected. A blocked duct will cook a brand-new belt.
For deeper clutch work where you do need to hold the primary, the Hunterworks CFMoto clutch holder tool locks the clutch so you can break the bolt loose and torque it back to spec without damage.
Making the new belt last
Break it in. A new CVT belt has a glaze from the mold that needs to wear off evenly, and the first few miles decide how the belt wears for the rest of its life. We wrote up the procedure in how to break in a new CVT belt.
Then keep the clutch clean and breathing. Most belts that die early do not die of a bad belt — they die of belt dust packed in the housing, a collapsed or disconnected intake duct, or a sheave face that was already damaged when the new belt went on. If you want to catch the next one before it strands you, here are 5 signs a UTV belt is about to fail.
FAQ
Does my CForce 1000 take the same belt as my ZForce 950? If the CForce 1000 is a 2021-2024 standard model, yes — both use HW-851KM. If it is a Touring or Overland, no.
Is the CForce 600 belt really the same across 2011-2025? That is the fitment Hunterworks lists for HW-CF6M. Fifteen model years on one belt is unusual but it is correct for this machine. If your CForce 600 is an unusual trim, call and we will confirm before you order.
How do I tell if I have an Omni Drive secondary? Pull the CVT cover and look at the secondary clutch for threaded holes in the face that the belt change tool can screw into. If you are not sure, call us and we will walk you through it.
Should I keep a spare belt in the machine? Yes. A spare belt and the belt change tool together turn a trip-ending failure into a ten-minute stop on the trail.
Still not sure which belt fits?
CFMoto fitment trips up experienced people, and we would rather talk to you for two minutes than have you order the wrong belt. Call (662) 631-9254 with your year, model and trim and we will confirm the right part — and tell you honestly if you do not need what you were about to buy.
