How to Read Your Old Belt
Polaris prints the part number on the back of the belt. On a worn belt it may be faint — wipe it clean and look under good light. If it's unreadable, your model year and trim are enough; the 2024 XP 1000 redesign is the one that catches people, because it does not share a belt with the 2014-2023 XP 1000.

Does a 2024 RZR XP 1000 use the same belt as a 2023?
No. Per our listings, 2014-2023 XP 1000 / XP4 use one Hunterworks belt; 2024-2025 XP 1000 / XP4 (and Xpedition on that listing) use a different one. Do not mix them.
What if the OEM number on my old belt is unreadable?
Year, model, and trim are enough for most RZRs. The chart above maps listing-backed belts by machine. When it says "call to confirm," that means we have not verified an OEM cross-ref for that row — call (601) 771-0070 rather than guessing.
Do I need tools besides the belt?
For a clean install: the Hunterworks alignment tool for 2016-2025 Polaris 1000 models (if your year fits that listing), the HW Universal Polaris primary clutch puller, and the Polaris primary clutch holder. Wrong alignment kills new belts fast.
Should I break in the new belt?
Yes. Follow the UTV drive belt break-in procedure before hard launches or towing.
